Step 2: Install Ledger Live

Download the Ledger Live application from the official website. This software is essential for managing your Ledger device and cryptocurrencies securely. Follow the installation instructions for your operating system.

Ledger Live is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Connect Device

Step 3: Connect Your Ledger

Use the USB cable to connect your Ledger device to your computer. Open Ledger Live, and follow the prompts to start initializing your device. You'll be guided through choosing a PIN and setting up your recovery phrase.

Never share your recovery phrase with anyone — it is the only way to recover your assets.

Step 5: Add Accounts

Once your device is set up, you can add accounts for different cryptocurrencies. Ledger Live supports multiple currencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and many altcoins. Select “Add Account” and follow the instructions.

Regularly update Ledger Live to ensure compatibility with the latest coins and features.

Step 6: Send & Receive Crypto

With your accounts added, you can safely send and receive cryptocurrencies. Ledger ensures private keys remain on your device, offering maximum security. Always verify addresses carefully before confirming transactions.

Double-check the recipient address before sending crypto to avoid irreversible mistakes.
